| The pharisees beginning was one of great godliness and sanctification.
They were very meticulous in their handling of scripture. They didn't
look at it as a mere book! They handled scripture with reverence.
It is possible that an organizationcan become man driven instead of God
driven. I am reminded of the story of a couple who after 10 year of
marriage was driving home one evening. The wife who happened to be the
passenger stated, "Gee, isn't it a shame that we don't sit close to
each other anymore. I remember we used to all the time. To which the
husband replied, "Honey...I never moved."
The pharisees started as a Godly organization but eventually focused on
self. The church has managed, through thick and thin, to remain intact
after 2000 years!

| The Pharisees are a perfect example of a Godly body going into decay!
The church does more the rollercoaster thing!!

But I'm sure the Pharisees, many Pharisees anyway, would agree with you about
the depth of knowledge of which you speak.
