| It is with some regret I inform you all I will be leaving Digital in
three weeks. I say some because while I believe God moves us in
different directions throughout life, it is difficult to make the break
from people like yourselves whom I've gotten to know over the years.
Michele and I have decided to pull stakes from New England and head to
the Carolinas. My family has moved down there and Michele's parents
are both gone now...it seems to make sense with our kids being as young
as they are!! We sensed God's timing on this one!!

We will all in one way or another cross this threshold!! It was indeed
a pleasure to get to know you over the past four years. I needed my
C-P fix every day and am not sure how I will cope without it!! :-)

Well, Jack, how do you feel about your time among us winding down?
Isn't your last day about a week away?
I will miss you.
Funny. I'm missed Collis Jackson when he departed, too. But I
feel I've gotten to know you a lot better personally than I did him.
He and I never corresponded offline, for example. And he never
revealed to me his generous and tender-hearted side as you have.
I feel like I've gotten to know Michele and the kids, too.
I pray for you all the good things of life: wonder, imagination,
compassion, caring, and enthusiasm.

Thanks for the kind reply. Yes, there are sides to me that I don't
discuss much here in notes. I get weepy eyed watching Little House,
Fiddler on the Roof, watching my kids go into the school, things like
that. I'm more inclined to keep my opinions to myself in a
crowd...believe it or not! :-)
By the way, I read your well written article in "Active for Justice".
I found the activity invitations to be high in merit. I'm usually one
to see the glass half full instead of half empty. I hope your efforts
are not wasted. Unfortunately, heroes of nonviolence are sometimes
just given the luck of the draw. Woodrow Wilson for example, could
have been considered such a man but was politically forced into a
conflict he had little control over. It will be interesting though to
see just how some of the more successful did it.
Today was the first day it hit me. One week left! I have a feeling my
next job will require discipline as things are dead here...but very
much alive down there! I won't have time to answer the phone from what
I'm hearing!!!
Hope all is going well with your family...your son also and other
matters!
