1081.0. "When there's no clear direction" by CSC32::J_CHRISTIE (Unquenchable fire) Mon May 08 1995 12:40

What do you do when you don't know what to do?

In other words, when a clear direction doesn't present itself as right and
true and good, how do you select one, even if that means making no selection?

This is assuming that prayer, reason and experience have failed to bring
clarity.

Shalom,
Richard

You do the best you can.

You ask people you respect for their opinions, you do research (if appropriate),
you weigh the choices, pick one (even if you're just flipping a coing) take a
deep breath, and move forward.

I believe that most stress in life is caused by dealing with situstions for
which there numerous courses of action, mutually exclusive, and no way to pick...

I am learning in those difficult times, to make a decision, trust the
Divine, and step into the void.

It is inevitably easier once that step is taken. the void becomes a
    lot less frightening!

often, it seems me, not the decision is the difficult bit, but what you make
of it.
