| > BUT WE BELONG TO JESUS, ANY WAY OR TIME HE SEES US,
for me, 'belonging' sounds so possessive and the very notion of possession,
particularly possessing fellow humans, sparks an instant reflex against the
idea!
> HE BELONGS TO NOBODY, NOT EVEN YOU!
so this is a nice thought! noone can claim him, everyone is free to make
their own opinion. as for me, i like to think of him as 'best of human', an
inspiring example, an example worth following.
> HE'S OUR SAVIOR, TOO! ... 'CAUSE HE'S OUR SAVIOR, TOO!
the whole thing hinges on this bit. as i interpret his message, if we follow
his example, we all have our role to play in 'saving' the world. because saving
the world doesn't just happen, but he's given us the perspective. so there is
hope.

Yes, but belonging also can mean included, or if you prefer, not excluded.

| 1) He's gonna be a bit of trouble,
but never more trouble than he's worth,
Don't be surprised if this king of Judah
turns out to be king of all the earth.
2) This one's gonna mean a lot of heartaches.
The king of fools they'll call him near and far.
But don't be forgetting when your heartbreaks;
This king is the king of the way things really are.
3) This one's gonna come to some bad ending,
But ev'rything begins and ends with him.
This king is the king of love and life everlasting,
The vict'ry over death and the end of all our sin.
