909.0. "Faith as a process" by CSC32::J_CHRISTIE (Sister of Amaretto) Wed Apr 27 1994 17:32
It has occurred to me that faith is not a binary thing, that either
you have it or you don't.
Faith is like a living entity. Like a seedling, it must be nurtured,
cared for and encouraged to grow. And if it does grow and grows strong,
it will have the ability to withstand the cold isolation of winter and
the fury of summer storms. Not only will it withstand the elements, but
it will bear delicious, nourishing fruit. It will become backyard playground
equipment for children, a place where bees furiously congregate, a place
to rest in the shade.
Faith is a process and not an end. Those who have great faith can always
have greater faith. Those whose faith is tender and new need to be treated
with greater care.
Shalom,
Richard

| Richard,
That was beautiful and inspiring. You have quite a way with words.

| .1 Thanks. Yeah, <Chuckling to myself> it sounds like something I'd
include in a sermon.
Evidently, there's not a lot of contention about it either!
Shalom,
