A discussion with a friend has led me to think about Sunday Schools. I
would like to open this question to this community.
What makes a Sunday School wonderful? As a teacher? As a parent? As
a student? For a large congregation? For a small congregation?
I am thinking specifically about Sunday School for children, but
certainly would love to hear about Adult Christian Ed. too.

| Hi Debby,

Sunday School has been a part of my life since I was 3 years old. The
wonderful part comes definitely from the teacher and the materials used
    in the class.

I have a list of it somewhere, let me see if I can find it of what
    makes for a good lesson/class.

| My church has several classes for adults, in addition to the children's and youth programs. There's a traditional Bible study. There's a contemporary Bible study, which I taught for about 6 weeks. (Oh, dear. Hope that's not considered crowing.) There's a singles class (focus varies monthly). There's a spiritual response to modern issues class (focus varies monthly). There's a church staff led class (staff leader rotates monthly). There's a class that is rather eclectic, often featuring speakers from outside the congregation (focus varies sometimes weekly). | I taught 4th grade age level Sunday School at a United Methodist church
several years ago. From it, I gained a heightened respect and admiration
    for children's Sunday School teachers.

    Peace,
    Richard
