Greeting, Did anyone see the 2-hour special Tuesday night on ch 4 in Boston on the Ancient Prophets hosted by David McCallum? If so, what do you think? Did it bother you or cause you to become excited? For those who didn't view it, it dealt with "prophets" (I use the term EXTREMELY loosely) such as Nostrodamus (sic?), Edgar Cayce, A fellow from New England still alive today (who was he?), and other assorted events, biblical in nature. Any and all comments welcome. Maranantha, Bob. [posted by Notes-News gateway]

I watched parts of it. I found it very interesting but nothing to get excited about. Edger Cayce was the most interesting of those highlighted. Alfred

Not to be picky, but was Nostradamus a true prophet in the sense that he was 100% accurate? There were many prophets no doubt that were true but not mentioned in the Bible. My understanding was that Nostradamus wasn't 100% accurate. -Jack
870.3 | maybe not 100% accurate *yet* | TFH::KIRK | a simple song | Mon Mar 07 1994 13:35 | 17 |
I'm just musing on what Jack brought up in his note 870.2 ... > Not to be picky, but was Nostradamus a true prophet in the sense that > he was 100% accurate? Some of his "prophecies" point to future times, as do, in some interpretations, several Biblical prophecies. Since they haven't come to fruition *yet*, his current record isn't 100% accurate. We may not know if he is 100% correct or not till the end of time. FWIW I saw some of the program mentioned. It didn't do much for me. Most "infotainment" has that effect on me. Cheers, Jim |
