I suspect the bible was referring to natural and unnatural in terms of
human NATURE and not plastics vs homegrown.

David, what has led you to believe this?

You mean like this notesfile?
'Tis perhaps one of the most ungodly things I've encountered ;^)

Only when it has to do with sex. :-}
Note how little Christians dwell on the natural vs. unnatural
when it comes to food, for example.

| I'm reminded me of an old NOVA television show detailing the creation of a new
snack food. In England, where some of the story took place, they defined
"artificial" as a process involving human intervention through chemistry, the
making and breaking of bonds within and between molecules. "Natural" was any
process that did not; thus you could grind, mold, mix just about anything you
could lay your hands on and it was still "natural". For their purpose, it was
a very useful definition. I've known many people for whom humans somehow fall
outside of Nature.
Are humans a part of Nature? a part of Creation?
In Africa there are termite hills over 20 feet tall. They are built by
termites of sand and various secretions. Building them is just something that
termites *do*. Few would doubt there existance as natural.
In many places around the world there are human hills hundreds of feet tall.
They are built by humans of metal, glass, wood, and stone. Building them is
just something that humans *do*. Is their existance any less natural?
As a Christian, I believe that unlike the termite, for whom I don't believe
the question ever comes up, humans have the ability to worship their hills.
This is sinful.
Peace,
Jim

Excellent reply.
However, before I can answer the question, I need to ask Richard are
you referring at all to the Biblical usage of natural and unnatural?
