"I've had pastors admit that the most horrifying moments in their
ministry is when God really did show up. In a sense, that's what ministry
is all about -- invoking the Holy Spirit to show up. You preach, and
some carpenter staggers out of church and says, 'Thank you, pastor. I
now know I must sell all I have -- my pick-up truck and my house -- and go
to Haiti as a missionary.' And you think, 'Are you crazy? You must have
misunderstood me!' He isn't crazy. The Holy Spirit showed up."

| many, many (unpredictable) times. And I think God loves to fun with us
by throwing things in our faces which God then wants us to disern just
what God meant by all that apparent nonsense.
I think God grins a real lot!

*YES* many times. It made me feel humble, scared, thankful, and other
jumbled and curious emotions. Its really hard to describe.
