712.0. "Commentary on the Clinton administration" by CSC32::KINSELLA (Boycott Hell!!!!!!) Wed Jun 23 1993 19:36

Well, I've been meaning to start this topic for some time, but now
seems as good a time as any to ask this question. Since we had a
pre-election topic which I can't seem to find at the moment (Richard,
do you happen to know which note that was?)...it's now time for a
    discussion on...

....we'll he's in office (or should I say they) like it
or not....so just how are B/Hill doing?

Please don't run over each other to reply. There's plenty of time
and hopefully enough diskspace. ;^) Let's here those glowing reviews!
And....well...it's okay to have some gloating reviews too since some
people took quite the beating in the pre-election file. ;^)

What has Clinton done? What hasn't he done? Are ya happy with the
change or lack of it? Do you think things have changed too much?
Come on! Open up. Keep those cards and letters coming!

I suspect this may be the string to which you're refering.

712.2A Clinton anecdote.VNABRW::BUTTONDo not reset mind, reality is fuzzy !Thu Jun 24 1993 03:1816
I picked this up in one of the commentry programmes on the BBC
    	yesterday evening.

Bill Clinton gets only "Bad Press". This worried his PR people
so much that they held a brainstorming meeting to find a solution.
Result: BC must learn to walk on water.
    	So they had BC practice.
First on a damp carpet, then on rain-puddles, etc. until he was
so proficient that he could cross Chesapeake Bay on foot, without
    	spoiling his shoes.
The PR people invited the Press Corps. BC did the Chesapeake Bay
bit: - there and back. He even did a few dance steps and a little
    	pirouette.
Headlines next day: "Clinton can't swim!"

    	Greetings, Derek.

... Well, if so, and on the positive side, they at least
seem to be working together as a family unit - though I admit
I'm not sure what role the First Adolescent, or the First Cat
        are playing....

712.6Thanks!CSC32::KINSELLABoycott Hell!!!!!!Thu Jun 24 1993 19:5716

Thanks Richard. I looked but it just escaped my eyes. I was pretty
wiped out yesterday. I saw another one that looked kind of like it
but it didn't have enough response to be it.

I'll reply sometime soon. I have't quite formulated my reply yet.
Still hunting down some details that I might include.

I'm surprised at the lack of response. I really expect those of
you who did back Clinton to give us the pluses on what he's done
just in case I'm missing it. I mean that too. I see the news
about once every 2 weeks. I don't read the paper. But I do
sometimes stay up till 12:05 to see Rush. ;^)
