Neither. He is the author, master builder, and administrator of
God's economy. When He returns His rule over the whole earth will more closely
resemble a theocracy.

| Better question .. why is there any need to attach a label to him?
Why not just take him at his word? Labels like this mean almost
nothing to me, personally.

| I think that Jesus was a "what works" best sort of person. The
lifestyle he lived in during His years of ministry was very
communistic. Though earlier, as far as we can tell, he lived a
capitalistic life. But what He did was different during those times.
Living on His own bidding His time the work of a carpenter suited
Him fine. However, in His years of ministry He traveled a lot and
took a group with Him. During this time a "one pocket" sort of
operation gave Him the most flexibility. So I really don't think
that His lifestyle alone is an indication.
He also talked about a workman being worthy of His hire. A capitalistic
notion to be sure. But He also talked about sharing and not having
extra. Basically I think that Jesus defies ordinary labels. So it's
sort of a silly question unless one is trying to use it to push a
specific political agenda.

I don't believe any of those labels apply to Jesus. The premise
of the base note just doesn't match any of my beliefs.
I always had the feeling he differentiated between commerce and
relationships. Friends helped each other. Goods were sold as
was proper for honest trade. Morality was providing services
or goods that were true to the bargain. Then again, maybe true
commerce was always based on a valid relationship of trust either
in each other or a common God.

| I agree the question is a rather obtuse one.
Nevertheless, factions do exist who do take such questions seriously
and will go to great lengths to reinforce their preferred economic system
with the premise of Divine favor.
