Mike V,

Has anyone ever told you that you have a sense of humor that
would rival The Far Side?

Box o' Nabiscos,
Richard

["Box o' Nabiscos" comes from a time I said, "Pax vobiscum," and Mike
  misunderstood. RJC]

No Richard, no one has told me that, but thank you. :-)

    Gertrude winked at me today.

That's all I had to pass along about Gertrude. Just that she winked.
    More later.

Gertrude laughed when I asked her that. She has a great sense of
    humor.

I don't know, Mike. I always thought that the wind sighing was called
Mariah. Maybe I'm getting my deities confused, or could Gertrude
and Mariah be different names for the same thing? ;-)

Maybe Mariah is just one manifestation of Gertrude. :-)

(I don't think she would consider the existence of Mariah to be any
sort of Gertrusion on her role in the world.) :-)

Whatever her name, she doesn't seem to have anything meaningful to say.
...kind of silent, as scripture says somewhere in the psalms...

The Word of God, scriptures, proclaims and supports all the virtues and
qualities that some feminists supposedly 'find' in their fictitous
matriarchal goddesses. Jesus called those who love, who are meek,
charitable, and poor in spirit (not proud) those who are blessed and
    who will inherit the kingdom.

It is not Christianity which is lacking in the correct teachings, or in
respect for all humans. Weak Christians who have not sufficiently
separated from the world's ways of agression, power, or desire for
personal glorification are not living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We do not need fictitious pagan gods or goddesses to 'suppliment' the
Revelation of Jesus Christ. We need Christians of all types and sexes
living the Gospel of Our Lord, giving witness to its goodness and
giving praise and glory to God.

To claim to be Christian and yet find the revelation of Christ
insufficient and, worse, DAMAGING to the self-image of women is a
blasphemy against God. It says that man (in this case feminist women)
knows better what God should be like. It also says that men and women
can't have the same God; this goes against God who created both.

The Catholic Feminists that are premoting the creation of a goddess-God
have expressed at conferences and in writing that women should MAKE UP
their own god (goddess) myths and that Jesus as a personal savior is
    not important.

Have none of you read scripture about the End Times? False prophets
arise who 'change God', redefining God into their own image.

By what evidence, teachings, etc. do feminist theologians presume to
tell us that Christ is different than scripture reveals? Where is the
Book of Ghia, Book of Sophia, or Book of Gertrude? Is it not being
written today on the word processors of feminist activists, an outright
    myth, a god(ess) created in wo(man)'s image?

Some argue that we might not know things about Jesus. Perhaps that's
true for some things. However, the leaders of the Church were the
Apostles who knew Jesus personally and saw all that he did. When a
replacement to Judas was chosen this was the criteria. The Gospels
were written by those who accompanied the Apostles and therefore had
direct access to their knowledge and understanding of Jesus' teachings,
life and ministry. All were filled with the Holy Spirit, as was
Saul/Paul who taught based on divine revelation; Paul was accepted by
the Apostles indicating that his teachings were also considered
    correct.

The Church continued through Apostolic succession. The first Bishops
were chosen by the Apostles and each subsequent Bishop was chosen by a
Bishop. Therefore, the criteria of being in union with the Apostles in
    teaching is maintained.

Why, again, should any Christian religion refute such revelation and
nearly 2000 years of testimony and witness to Jesus Christ in favor of
    the undocumented and unrevealed Ghia/goddess?

    In Christ,

    Mary
