Hey, we the only ones here today? 8*)

I am closest to God when I'm in and experiencing the mingled Spirit/spirit.
That is God's Spirit mingled with my spirit.

Our spirit is like the Holy of Holies in the OT. We are in the throne room of
grace when we are in our spirit (as opposed to our soul).

    	Richard;
    		I find it very interesting that most of the times
    	that you said you felt closest to God were times when you were
    	with others. Is this the same Richard that said that we don't
    	need church to be religous??? 8-)

    	I agree with just about all of the things you listed.

    	P.S. We have a Christmas card for you. I hope you don't mind
    		it's a little late.
141.8Thanks for pointing that out! :-)CSC32::J_CHRISTIESay your peaceThu Dec 27 1990 21:5223

Dear _ed-,

	Yes, it's really me. :-)

	Good observation. One I hadn't noticed. I *do* tend to experience
the Divine Presence when in the presence of others. The others, however,
need not be those of the church; at least, not the church in the traditional
sense.

	In serving as a chaplain, I recall feeling more than once that
I was on High and Holy Ground when in a hospital room with someone whose
death was only moments away, and also, when I was with the family and
loved ones. They weren't even always Christians.

Peace,
Richard

    I feel closest to God in a church. Or sometimes outside when it's
    really beautiful and quiet.
