Has anybody any experience of a company called "Technical Aid"? I work in the PSG group in the UK, and we have recently been told that Technical Aid are being taken on to assist Digital in the process of resourcing contractors (or some such similar words - I don't have the exact wording here). The immediate change to us has been to alter our contracts so that Technical Aid is the client instead of Digital, but we have been told there should be no further impact. Apparently, this exercise has already happened in the US, about 4 years ago, but I have searched the Digital_contractor conference and this one, and found no mention of it. Does anybody have any knowledge of this happening in the US? Cross-posted in DIGITAL_CONTRACTOR. Carol.

So you have a contract with agency Foo, who have a contract with Technical Aid who have a contract with DIGITAL? The mind boggles, it really does. No sign of that happening here (yet)! Antonio

That's not how things are working for me, either. Sounds a nightmare, and more fingers in the pie... Cheers, Laurie.

And as we all know, more fingers in the pie means less pie. Hasn't happened to me either. Cheers, Brian PS Carol, I've still got my EDI v1.0 mug at home |
