It seems that more and more noters are reporting that they either never saw Mickey Mouse or saw very little of him during their stay. This topic is to provide hints and tips on how and where to find The Big Cheese during your stay at WDW. Any and all tips are welcomed. Mike

I'll be the first. My number one suggestion would be to go to Mickey's Hollywood theater in Mickey's Starland in The Magic Kingdom. Because of his popularity Mickey doesn't wander around like other characters. Instead, he is under very controlled conditions. Visiting him in his dressing room offers you a chance to have photos taken without any other visitors around. Be sure and check in City Hall to get the times the Mickey will be available to meet and greet visitors. Good luck. Mike

At MGM, Mickey is dressed up as Hollywood Mickey and poses for pictures with folks in front of a facade store at the very beginning of Sunset Blvd next to the Starring Roles Cafe. Lots of other characters also frequent this area of Sunset Blvd - the street that leads to the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. At Epcot, I'd look for him at the American Adventure in the International Showcase. And in the Magic Kingdom, you can find him in Starland as has been mentioned, but if you just want to see him - I think you might find him in the Mickey Mania parade somewhere. :^) Gary

well, it's true, i did see him in the parade, but i was able to see most of the other characters up close and personal. we were under the impression that starland was the most 'kiddie' place in the park, so we avoided it. i didn't know about the show at his house til our last day there, and by the time we got thru, the show was filled up, so we never really got to see him... that just means i have go to back!! -raquel |
