420.0. "Complaints - Wheres the Magic" by WELCLU::SMITHM (Think Global - Act Local....) Fri May 13 1994 06:05

Who do you complain to about Disney.

We went at the end of April. Right up until the point where we went through
the turnstiles after getting of the monorail it was great. The staff were
friendly and the magic was there.

Through the gates and the bubble burst.

Just about everyone inside seems to have been to the New York school of charm.
They were either abrupt or down right rude. Also for the first time I very
definitely noticed security people.

Has something happened recently. Its gone from being a magical place to an
amusement park and I don't expect to pay those sort of prices for an amusement
park.

At the end of the day when we were there a woman and her kid were sat on the
stationary peter pan ride and refused to get of. Apparently they had been in the
queue for about 20 mins and come 7:00 PM they closed the ride. There was
much heated debate going on between her and the staff, with a crowd of people
generally supporting her

Eventually they restarted the ride and let her go, but some very heavy looking
people appeared in the meantime.

Anyone else noticed this ?

420.1One rude boat driverMAGEE::GIBSONFri May 13 1994 15:189
I encountered my first rude cast member in March. He was one of the
drivers on the boats which run between Port Orleans and Dixie Landings
and Pleasure Island. I have discussed my opinion of the boat service
elsewhere. At one point he was holding on to his temper by a mere hair.
Afterwards, other passsengers asked him information questions and he
curtly answered them with as few words as possible. It was a new
    experience for us, too.

When we went to Disneyworld in October, everyone and everything was
    great. No complaints, only raves.

The thing I don't like is that while all this construction is going on,
there is no complimentry anything. And... they still charge the same for
tickets even though practically all of tomorrwland is closed. That is
    not good business.

what they closed, was not worth it. I'm glad to see them reinvesting the money
on new stuff. By having the construction going on they DID give you something:

a new reason to return! and isn't that great!

They have to do the construction some time.

Also, the construction projects that they do are sizeable enough to
warrant the amount of time they take in completing such projects.

I'm sure they don't want to inconvenience guests, especially during
    the high travel periods.
