357.0. "Restaurants: Day and Night" by WREATH::SCOPA () Thu Aug 05 1993 16:32

    In talking with some off you off-line I've heard some stories
    regarding restaurants changing their menu and prices during
    the evening.

    I'd like to use this note as a repository for this information.

    My next note will start it off. If you would like to add to this
    information extract the note, append your information, and then
    place the note in this topic.

    I will make it a point to check this topic from time to time to make
    sure we have just this base note and 1 reply which contains the most
    updated information.

    I'm looking for the restaurant name, location, and the day/night
    change.

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Coral Reef at EPCOT - The Dinner menu is more extensive - however, it
    is quite a bit more expensive that lunch. ALL the food is Fabulous!

357.4Jungle Jim's, and more????QETOO::TELIANFri Jan 14 1994 08:5910

    I'm looking for recommendations in and out of the park. I had someone
    suggest Jungle Jim's, located in the Rosie O'Grady Area. Also a steak
    house that looks like a miner's cave. Any thoughts on these places???

    I can't wait to head over to Beaches and Cream, the Coral Reef and to
    Tony's. Sounds like I'll spend a good chunk of my time eating. I
    can't afford too, at least that's what my waist line is telling me.

    5 days and counting...
357.5Information and CouponsWREATH::SCOPAFri Jan 14 1994 10:276
    When you get to the Orlando area grab one of those tourist pamphlets.
    They have tons of information including stuff on restaurants and
    coupons too. YOu can find buffets, steakhouses, and all kinds of
    cuisines listed in these magazines.

357.6Miner's Steak HouseCSC32::B_GRUBBSFri Jan 14 1994 11:5316

    We ate at the Miner's Steak place the last time we went down. We had
    just gotten to town, were hungry (refuse to eat airplane food) and
    were staying just a few minutes west of there.

    Food was normal steak house fare....not exceptional, but ok. Kind of
    neat atmosphere inside the restaurant if you get seated around the
    main 'atrium' where the waterfall flows through (it's behind glass).
    The prices were normal US192 tourist prices....I think we spent about
    $50 for appetizer, steak and lobster tail, tea, and desert.

    There's LOTS more stuff on US192 down on the other side of I4, and
    there are also places strung out along I drive if you catch the
    southern end of it off 192 and drive north.
