| Linda,
It's a lot easier convincing someone who is not sure that they want to
go, then someone who just plan doesn't want to go. You could always
try some of the suggestions mention in other topics like
- Watching some of the Animated Clasics
- Visiting your local Disney Store, while doing a mall shopping
trip
- Just happen to be looking at you old photo's/video's some night
Although you'd probably be better off going with a friend who also
enjoys Disney.

I'd opt for the find a friend that wants to go and have a really great
time, rather than drag someone that doesn't want to go. Perhaps you
can choose a "Let's do our own thing day". Let him choose to do what
he wants and you go to DL with a friend...

Hmmm... That close to DL and not visiting it in several years....

| Sacrilege!! I can't image anyone not wanting to go to Disneyland. Too bad our
vacation time didn't match up - I'm always ready for a visit with Mickey.
However, I do have to agree with the previous replys. When my husband has given
in and gone somewhere he'd have preferred not to...neither of us enjoys the
day/event.
Good luck!!

I can. What I can't imagine is anyone STAYING with someone who didn't
want to go to Disneyland

310.5 | Husband also doesn't like Disneyland | CARMEL::KATIE | | Fri Jun 26 1992 16:14 | 19 |
| Hi,
My husband isn't one for D-land either. We have been argueing for a year over
whether or not to go to WDW, (my parents recently moved to Orlando).
We have compromised, and I am taking our 9 month old son in August when we
will be doing his annual active duty. I really wish that he would enjoy Disney
as much as I do, but I have found that if he does something that he really
doesn't want to do, neither one of us have any fun, because he spends the day
complaining about the lines, how expensive everything is, etc....
We spent Thanksgiving in 1989 at Disneyland, got a nice package from the Magic
Kingdom Club, but still he complaned about everything.
I am looking forward to seeing my parents and spending lots of time at the
Magic Kingdom, epcot..... etc.. just the baby and me.

310.6 | what day??? | LABC::PENN | Equestrian Lady | Mon Jun 29 1992 16:17 | 15 |
| Here's the latest. I have been bringing home all the notes regarding FANTASMIC.
The son went and said the show was great, so now hubby would like to see the
show but still isn't interested in the lines and crowds. But, he is now
willing to go, (I didn't have to plead or beg-I just said I would find someone
else to go with if he wasn't interested in going with me to the best place on
earth). :-)
We did compromise, we will spend some time during our vacation, next week,
doing somethings he wants to do and we will spend time during somethings I
want to do. DISNEYLAND!!!
I can't wait. What day of the week do you all recommend as the best day to go?
Thanks,
Linda

Is Saturday really that good a day to go to DisneyLAND?? It seemed
quite crowded when I was there a few weeks ago.

310.9 | Big Crowds This YEar | VISUAL::SCOPA | I'd rather be in Orlando | Tue Jun 30 1992 06:57 | 12 |
| Skip,
You may have a point there. Some of the people I work with just came
back from a show in Calif. and they were amazed at the crowds.
"Fantasmic" may be causing some heavier than normal crowds especially
at night.
Still, I'd opt for a Thursday or a Friday as my first
choice....Saturday would be my third choice.
