| Unfortunately, the dates you mention coincide with the spring school
vacations. It is just about impossible to find a room anywhere near
Disneyworld on such short notice. I don't know how airlines are from
Brazil but I do know that it is impossible now to get a reserved seat
from the Norteast, in or out of Florida for those dates.

303.2 | How about outside the park? | FPTVX1::ABRAMS | Cause I may be... | Thu Mar 19 1992 08:19 | 13 |
| Sarita, if you need help finding a place to stay outside the park,
send me a note by e-mail and I'll try to help. I have a book with
many hotels and rates and I could call a few to see if they have a room.
I'm afraid Phil is right about hotels inside the park...it's one of the
busiest times of the year for them.

303.3 | I didn't now about spring vacations! | VAXSPO::SARITA | | Thu Mar 19 1992 12:28 | 22 |
| Hi guys,
Thank you for the help. I had no idea about that spring vacations you
have during this period. Here we have just 3 days (easter hollidays on
friday, saturday and sunday) and thats all.
Concerning air tickets I'll have no problems as I have already my
reservatios. We have now special offers to flight to Miami/Orlando. It
will cost me Us$ 640 per person round trip when usually it is about Us$
1,200 per person . The company I'll flight is a Brazilian company
called "Transbrasil".
I send a mail to Bill accepting his kind offer to help me with some
hotels outside Disney. It will not be so bad as I always stayed outside.
(And in that way I already have a reason to come back to Disney next
time).
If you have any other hint, please write here in this note.
Thanks again.
Sarita.

303.4 | Keep on trying | AIMHI::TLAPOINTE | | Thu Mar 19 1992 12:48 | 7 |
| Sarita, I called WDW yesterday and was told I could reserve 5 nights
at the Y&B club for that week only $215 + tax/-MKC.
So try again, maybe someone cancelled and you'll get lucky.

303.5 | Try the Marriott on I-Drive | MRKTNG::ITS4U::KUSEKOSKI | Maintain imperturbable equanimity | Wed Mar 25 1992 08:28 | 6 |
| We recently stayed at the Marriott on International Drive for $99 per
night. It's about a 15 minute drive to WDW; they may even run a
shuttle, I forget. I highly recommend this place if you cannot stay in
the park.

303.6 | Keep trying | CIVIC::GIBSON | | Thu Mar 26 1992 13:56 | 14 |
| Sarita,
Do not give up hope yet! You might still be able to stay on property.
There was a small chance that we would have to go to Florida for
April 11, so of course I called the CRO last night to see about a
last minute reservation to extend the trip. They were able to find
three nights at CBR (4/11-4/13), someone else's last minute cancellation.
Unfortunately, our trip fell through so I will be cancelling mine,
but someone else will have the chance to get a room at the last minute.
Keep trying.

303.8 | help needed again | VAXSPO::SARITA | | Tue Aug 11 1992 16:14 | 27 |
| Here I am again.
As you can read in mail previus notes, last time I went to Disney I
tried hardelly to stay in any of the Disney's resort but at the end it
wasn't possible as they were all full.
So, now I'm planning to go next January and, as this time I would like
to stay inside the propoerty, I begun to plan my trip earlier.
In that way, I will ask your kind help again. As I told you before,
here in Brazil we can't get the reservations at Disney easylly . So if
some of you colud just call the 1-800 number at reservation and check
for me wich hotels have rooms available for the period between January
26 and February 5 would be great.
We will need a room with two double beds, to acomodate two adults and
two children (7 and 4 years old).
Also I would like to know the price for them.The 4 of us are anual passports
holders, so maybe they have a special price for this period.
I was also told that as a DEC employee, I could get special rates at
Disney. Is that true?
Thank you very much again,
Sarita

303.9 | Try this! | VISUAL::SCOPA | I'd rather be in Orlando | Wed Aug 12 1992 12:25 | 9 |
| Sarita,
I think you could make one phone call and get everything settled. Can
you use the 1-800-MICKEY-1 (TOLL FREE) number from Brazil (one of my
favorite countries)? Use that number to get the info and/or book at the
same time.

303.10 | No 1-800 numbers | VAXSPO::SARITA | | Mon Aug 24 1992 10:05 | 9 |
| Hi Mike,
Thanks for the answer but I'm sorry to say that from Brazil we can not
reach any 1-800 number. As it is considered a long distance call and
has to be charged , it must be a billable (does this word
exists?) number, what will make the information very expensive....

303.11 | From the rest of the world..... | VOGON::KAPPLER | Smiths Knoll Automatic - Rising, Good. | Mon Aug 24 1992 12:16 | 15 |
| Sarita,
Don't feel bad about not being able to dial 1-800 numbers from Brazil.
This is also the case from the UK, and probably most places outside of
the USA.
Sometimes Mickey and his friends can forget the practicalities that
apply to his visitors from outside the USA! Funny really, I would have
expected better from Walt Disney's organisation. (Note, it's also
difficult to dial M I C K E Y when your phone doesn't have letters on
it, as is often the case in Europe!)
Can I suggest you try (407) 824-4321
John
