| First let's talk about the CBR.
- Peter Karam mentioned the serenity of Barefoot Lagoon and how
relaxing it is to walk around it anytime of the day. Well, take
my word for it, he's right. If you have a chance try strolling
around it at dusk or dawn.
TMK
- Everyone rushes by The Walt Disney Story. Take a break and go in
and read about the man. It's never crowded and gives you some
quiet moments.
- Breakfast at the Crystal Palace can be so relaxing. Most people
eat lunch, snacks, and supper there. Try an early breakfast and
if your lucky like we were, you be serenaded by a Jazz trio.
- Cool off and relax by riding the WDW Express train around TMK.
It's great on those hot days.
- Have a late supper (dusk) at the Pinocchio Village Haus
Restaurant. Sit way in the back near a window where you can see
Cinderella's castle.
- Stroll along the Rivers of the World near Liberty Square and
watch the Mike Fink boats and of course the Mark Twain Riverboat.
- Finally, go up to the train station stop at the front of TMK and
watch the people file out....some giddy about the day's
adventures, some excited about coming back the next day, and some
with a faraway look in their eyes wondering if and when they'll
ever return.
Epcot Center
- Just sit along the fountains just before Spaceship Earth and
listen to the entrance theme as you glance at the geosphere.
- Sit outside The Living Seas and watch the water break against the
Pavillion's sign.
- Watch the "Making Memories" film before Captain EO. There's more
to it than just a pre-show.
- Observe the young Epcot visitors playing with the fountains just
outside of Captain EO.
- Make a beeline to the World Showcase via a boat first thing in the
morning and be at the American Adventure Pavillion for the first
show...the best.
- Hang around the American Pavillion to catch the Voices of Liberty.
You'll find yourself looking for their cassette after you hear
them.
- Visit that fountain in Italy...nobody does.
- Spend time, not necessarily $$$$ in the various country shops,
especially Morocco, there is no atmosphere like that anywhere else
in the U.S.
- Ride a double-decker bus....sort of like the WDW Express train in
TMK.
MGM
- Stand in front of TGMR anytime during the day while they play
"Somewhere Over the Rainbow". Best time is the first 30 minutes
or last 30 minutes of the park's operating hours.
- Sit and watch the Streetmosphere.
- Walk around the Warehouse Restaurant BEFORE it opens.
- Visit the animation souvenir shop.
- Watch "Sorcery in the Sky"
Shopping Village/Pleasure Island
- Visit the character shop and watch the little ones go crazy over
the stuffed animals.
- Visit the Christmas Shop and wonder at the huge tree and singing
bells.
- Visit the shop with the animation cells and take a picture of
Mickey drawing a self-portrait...and it's Walt.
These are a few that stick out in my mind.
