Yes there are Horseback Riding trails...but it is a a forty minute
group tour and you are led. My wife didn't care to try as she likes
horseback riding and so likes a little more control herself.
Not sure about rates.

According to my Orlando Visitors Guide there are two places outside
the parks that offer horseback riding.
1. Grand Cypress Equestrian Center
1 Equestrian Drive (407)239-4608
Orlando, FL 32819 1-800-835-7377
Horseback riding on beautifully landscaped trails.
2. Outdoor Resorts River Ranch (FL)1-800-282-7935
(US)1-800-654-8575
Trail rides, rodeo, horseback riding.
Either place might be worth a call for more information.

My daughter and I went horseback riding on June 27th. It was her first
time riding and she had a nice time. The rides were $12 for a 45 minute
ride.
The horses are led, and pretty much only walk. It was not too
exciting, but it was a nice way to spend a morning.

I personally though the Merry go round in Magic Kingdom was super ;-)
those horses are very tame ;-)
