168.1 | Celebrations Around the World | ASABET::M_KELLEY | | Tue Feb 20 1990 14:23 | 19 |
| My Disney World attraction would be made for the EPCOT park. The theme
of the ride would be celebrations throughout the world. You would
begin the ride by sitting at a round table with about six other people
and then you move through the ride and attend different types of
celebrations in different countries. The moving figures and music
would create the atmosphere. You would attend a wedding in Hawaii, a
birthday in Japan, a party in Ireland, a celebration at a German bar,
and other celebrations. Especially interesting would be holidays or
customs that are very different from the United States'.
The table that you are at would move slowly and in such a way that
everyone can see what's going on without twisting their neck around.
It would create the sensation of really attending these parties.
It would be great if you could order a drink at the beginning of the
ride and join in the party while you move from celebration to
celebration.

168.2 | design your own ride and ride it | TOHOKU::TAYLOR | | Wed Feb 21 1990 13:06 | 10 |
| Somewhere, someone has a computer program that lets you build a roller
coaster ride and then watch it action. I would combine it with a small
version of the star war/body war simulator. You design a ride, hop into
the car, and the car does a simulated ride on the ride you designed.
Heck if Canabie Park had enough money they could this.
But if they had enough money they put a dome over the
wild mouse ride and call it space hill.

168.3 | A REAL VISUAL EXPERIENCE | SENIOR::CAMPBELL | John Campbell | Fri Jun 08 1990 13:21 | 14 |
| Well, here goes...
Combine the 3-D technology of Captain EO with a more advanced form of
Circle Vision 360. If a special projection device were created to
project from the center of the theater out to the surrounding screens,
the images could be brought together, removing those breaks from one
screen to the next. When combined with the 3-D technology (with no
screen limitations), the results would be a complete visual sensory
experience.
Of course, they would have to add handrails with safety belts. Just a
thought.

168.4 | I would build a tribute to Walt!! | STRATA::ROBROSE | | Thu Apr 18 1991 08:05 | 23 |

This probably would not be a major hit with the masses but, If I had
the money and the power I would use it to build an attraction that is
a true tribute to the man that made it all happen. I would build
an A-A Walt Disney figure that would talk to the audience about Walts
plans, hopes, and dreams for the future of the world. The exhibit
would chronical some of the major Disney achievements with the Walt
character describing Snow White storyboards and the Original
Disneyland plans. As the finally several guests could be picked from
the audience to ask Walt questions. I grant you I don't know how this
would be accomplished but it does seem achievable to me. If the
questions came from a fixed area (like a podium), the character
program would know where to direct the attention and a voice
synthesizer could be used to accomplish the rest. I have always felt
that the Walt Disney Story attraction is not a fair tribute to the
man and his dreams. This would be my way of ensuring that future
generations know who the man was and what he stood for.
Just dreaming I guess.
