towards Texas!
This time we have plenty of time, and plan to go to
Kennedy Space Center, Sea World and Busch Gardens also.

How: Amtrak - thank goodness for well behaved children.
Marianne and I visited Disneyland in April 1989 sans children.
My parents have been bugging us to visit them and when they
offered to help w/$, I couldn't refuse.

This is a spur of the moment vacation ( aren't they the best) due
to Deb's aunt being close to Orlando and a friend offering us FREE
round trip bonus certificates. The trick is going to be getting that
flight out of Logan on 2/11. As of now I know of a flight in the AM
that is not totally booked that I hope to get a reservation on. The
big problen is the certificates only allow you to reserve 24 hrs in
advance. I'm still very optomistic !!!!!!!!!!!

| My MAJOR trip this year will be a family jaunt (at least 11 of us!
My husband, daughter and I, my mom, my brother, sister-in-law and their
3 kids, my husband's sister and her husband) in June, staying at the
MARRIOTT WORLD CENTER (because I have frequent 'sleeper' points to cover
most of the cost!) for 6 nights. We'll be there June 24-30th. It'll
be hot, but it's the best time for all concerned. The rest/swim time
in the middle of the day is actually a nice break from all the
'visuals' of WDW.
I was there just for an evening a couple of weeks ago (business at the
Space Center!) and we (my daughter and I) may be there next week-end as
we're going to Tampa for a few days over winter vacation and she wants
to go to Pleasure Island.

LAST Three kids ago....1982 for our Honeymoon. First 5 minutes
TRIP: of Honeymoon was spent watching the divers at River Country
search the bottom of the big slide pool for my eyeglasses.
WHY: I have contacts now....... :-) Can't wait to see how my kids
react. Already have reservations for Hoop de doo, Chip & Dale
breakfast. Also, in the 8 times I've been previously (1982 and
before), I have never seen EPCOT, NEVER got to see the Diamond
Horshoe Jamboree (I'll see it this time though, thanks to all
the helpful hints in this notes file!)

days at the South Seas Plantation in Captiva, then on to Tampa for 2
nights and three days, and finally to WDW for 4 nights and 5 days!

Why: Honeymoon!!!
How: Whole trip planned through a wonderful travel agent using MTI
tours. We were able to take advantage of the wonderful airfare
mentioned in earlier notes. Total round trip airfare for both of us is
only $269! Thats only $134.50 for each one of us. Because we are
honeymooners we will be getting a free upgrade on the rent a car,
booked into the best room available at all the hotels we will be
staying at and all sorts of other ammentities for no extra charge.
Only 94 days to go!!!!!

| This a reply to my origional reply in .27.
Due to circumstances beyond my control, I am heading to WDW
on July 3-10 instead of Nov 16-25. What a bummer, eh? :*)
We were origionally going to take the train ($850 for 6 people)
but the airfare for us is only $750 non-stop! De-regulation is
great, isn't it? The problem is is that now the hotels are
expensive. Oh well, they get you one way or another.
The next two weeks will be hectic as we prep for this last minute
vacation. I'll post a trip report (weather data included) when
I get back.
14 days (instead of 149) and counting!

We got a great deal on an air/land package! The whole deal (hotel, air
& car) cost us $381.00 pp!! We are staying 7 nights and 8 days. This
package also included 2 for 1 coupons to ALOT of major attractions in
Orlando area (ie: Sea World, Wet-n-wild, cypress gardens etc) and we
are also MK club members! Talk about going inexpensively! But this is
going to be our LAST vacations for a LLLLOOOONNNGGG while! :^(
