or the Watch Shop over in the Walt Disney World Village.

| Bought one when we down there in Aug. most shops had them, even
the trading post at the campground. They were $49.95. The best
place would be the Main store at the Disney Village, because you
can get the 10% discount with the Magic Kingdom card.
Every little bit helps.

| What sort of design is on the outside? Also, does anyone know if I could
get such a thing through a catalog or order number as 1500 miles is a bit
much to buy a watch (though it *is* a good excuse for a vacation!).

You might want to try one of the Disney Stores. (Burlington Mall
and Pheasent Lane Mall are two that I know of)

| The watch is very thin with no front covering like you see on
traditonal pocket watches,Mickey is on the front. Guess you have
checked catalogs by now and don't know if you had luck there, but
I noticed that all the stores that carry disney products (k-mart,
service merchanndise, etc) and they are the legitimate ones Lorimar
brand, have only the wrist watches. Please let us know if you have
any luck.

| Ok..
The catalogs don't seem to be any help. I called the catalog and they
said they didn't have it. Next in line was the Disney Stores. The one
in the Pheasant Lane Mall (NH) said they had them but haven't had any
come in for a long time. I told her to check into it and I'd call
back.
Thats were we currently stand in the great-mouse-in-your-pocket-watch
search (circa 1989).

| 18 months ago, I stopped at something "administrative looking" in the
Disney Shopping Village and tried to get a catalogue. I was told that
now you could write and describe anything you'd seen at Disney and
they'd send it to you (charged to your major credit card, of course!)
They said they were doing that in lieu of the catalogues that they had
done several years ago. So you might try calling the Disney Village!

| After being on back order since mid-January, I finally got my
backwards Goofy watch from the Disney catalog on Monday. The numbers
are backwards, the hands go backwards, and it takes me about 1.5 minutes
to figure out what time it is, but I love it! And it came just in time
to wear on my trip!
This particular edition was only 5000, but I was told that Lorus will be
coming out with one with a silver face and a black band. More will be
available soon.

I have seen two versions of the Goofy watch that runs backwards.
I believe both of them are made by Lorus but there's a pretty
big price difference. Does anyone out there know what the
differences are between the 2 versions?

| There are actually three versions.
1. Limited Edition - goldtone case with brown strap
made by Pedre. Have sold for up to $3,000!
2. Silvertone with black strap by Pedre $75
3. Silvertone with black strap by Lorus $39.95??
The Lorus is an imitation of the Pedre and is a little smaller.
I have both #1 (don't wear it - might use it to finance a WDW trip) and
#2. It seems a little large for a woman's wrist.
