| Maryann,
Some hotels do not have off season rates...CBR is one.
I think that off season is:
Jan. 1 - Mid-Feb. Mid-Apr. - Mid-June Mid-Aug. - Mid-Dec.
Peak seasons are:
Dec. 20-31 Mid-Feb. - Mid-Apr. Mid-June - Mid-Aug.
Please keep in mind that these may vary from hotel to hotel but you can
expect that most of the Disney hotels to hold to these dates.

138.2 | 1989 Seasons | INDMKT::GOLDBERG | Len --> o &  in 70 days | Thu Sep 07 1989 15:00 | 23 |
| At WDW resorts the 1989 "seasons" are (were) as follows:
Regular Season
--------------
December 18 - December 31, 1988
February 12 - April 15, 1989
June 18 - August 12, 1989
Value Season
------------
April 16 - June 17, 1989
Off Season
----------
January 1 - February 11, 1989
August 13 - December 18, 1989
I don't have the information for 1990, but it will probably be much the
same.
As Mike mentioned, the Caribbean Beach Resort does not change rates
during the year, nor do they offer the 20% MKC discount during off
season.

138.3 | Rates in May/Jun '93 | ZPOVC::HONGNGEE | | Thu Apr 22 1993 20:39 | 26 |
| Hi all,
Will appreciate if some rates information can be provided. Maybe a
ballpark figure will really help.
I am planning a trip to WDW in May/Jun '93. I am very keen to stay on-
site after reading the advises in this note file. However, the rates
that I can get in Singapore for GF, Polynesian etc are in the range of
US$250 - US$350 per night. It sounds a little bit on the high side.
My main objective is to make most efficient use of the 5 days 4 nights (
28/5 - 31/5) we have in WDW and hence will like to stay in WDW itself. Can
someone please provide me with an idea of the rates for the following
hotels:
Polynesian
Grand Florida
CBR
Mariottes World Center
or any you may suggest.
Will realy help if you can also provide me with the addresses so that I can
make reservation from here. Thanks.
Thanks and regards,
Hong Ngee

If you want to stay on-site and not spend alot of money, then you should stay
at the Caribbean Beach Resort, Port Orleans, or Dixie Landings. These WDW
hotels are relatively inexpensive (around $95/night). You can check out
note 13.311 for a comparison of the three. Because they are inexpensive, they
do not offer off-season rates.
If you want to spend less, you can stay off-site and still be close to Disney,
with rooms for as little as $40/night.

138.5 | Better to assume a higher rate | CUPMK::SCOPA | | Fri Apr 23 1993 12:26 | 20 |
| I think it would be wise for everyone to assume that the CBR, PO, DL
trio offers rates no lower than right around $100/night or even a bit
higher.
The reason that I say that is historically they have been going up
around $5/night every year since they've opened and I think this year
may be the year they go over the $100 mark, even for the less expensive
rooms.
The Florida resort tax must also be taken into consideration.
I am assuming that if/when I go in 1997 and I look to the CBR again
I'll be face with a minimum of a $125/night bill.
I think the All-Star Sports Resort will get a lot of business when it
first opens because we'll see rates of $75/night....I don't believe
we'll see the $60/night rate as M. Eisner has mentioned in earlier
statements.
