It seems that Channel 4 TV here in the UK are releasing a dramitisation of 'A Dance to the Music of Time' later this year. I expect we can expect to see an increase of interest in Powell. I have now read the series (12 books) four times. It reads very much like Waugh, of whom Powell was a contemporary, although I believe Powell is still alive. Martin Lavender.
1686.4 | How long is the series? | BUNKA::LEMEN | Mon Feb 03 1997 05:54 | 8
The books cover so much, that I am curious as to how long the television series will be. I wish I could see it! I am also dying to know who is playing Widmerpool. june

If my memory serves me right then I believe it will be in 8 episodes. It looks as though there will be a lot of editing to fit it all in. As one of the main appeals of the books to me is the detail of observation then it will be interesting to see if the series works. |
