530.0. "Dreamward" by STOWOA::CIPOLLA () Mon Jul 10 1995 09:55

    Has anyone been on the Norweigan ship--Dreamward. I was thinking of
    booking a cruise on that boat. The pictures look great, but I wanted
    some first hand knowledge. How big is it anyway?

    My boyfriend and I are booked on a cruise to Bermuda Oct 7th on the
    Dreamward. I have not yet seen the ship up close and personal, but my
    travel agent gave me a promotional video that she had. We are psyched.

530.2We saw it last week!POWDML::WALKERMon Jul 10 1995 13:298
    We just got back from Bermuda via the Royal Majesty and we saw the
    Dreamward in port in Hamilton. It is BIG. We were out on a sailboat
    sailing when the Dreamward was leaving Bermuda, we watched it go through
    the "cut" and got to bob around in it's wake. If it is anything like
    the RM you will have a great time!

    We went on the Royal Majesty and loved, we had planned on going back on
    the same ship but the travel agent talked us into experiencing other
    lines.....

530.4DREAMWARD is awesome!XLIB::PARKERDigital's Partner NetworkTue Jul 11 1995 14:1424
I sailed on the DREAMWARD last year in May, NY to Bermuda. It is an
awesome ship. It's only about 2 years old, so hopefully by now it still
seems new. It was my first cruise, so the ship did seem huge to me, but
I'm told that it is considered a medium sized ship (we were dwarfed by the
Song of Norway in port in Hamilton). Nevertheless, it never seemed crowded
, although we sailed full.

The cabins are large by ship standards, and are very well appointed. Color
TV and phone in each room, small sitting area. I was even impressed with
the bathroom.

The rest of the ship is just beautiful... great pools (2), jacuzzi's, bars,
and lots of great shopping on board. The food was wonderful, and you could
eat breakfast and lunch in any restaurant you wanted. Dinner, of course,
is assigned seating.

You can make use of the gym, beauty salon....so much to do, so little time!

I'm sailing on the sister ship, the WINDWARD, next May, to Alaska. I can't
wait!!

Enjoy your trip!

Joan

    Lot's of fun on this ship! Sailed to Bermuda July '93 with our two
    teenagers. All had a good time! Husband enjoyed playing golf in
    Bermuda with the NFL players on board. Our cabins were spacious
    compared to other ships we had been on previously. We signed up for a
    3 day Snorkeling program with the Diving Crew. Visited off shore
    wrecks with knowledgeable divers/Historic Homes Tour/Steel Drum show
    trips arranged by the ship = highly recommend. At the end of our
    weeklong cruise, all family members were still laughing and talking to
    one another - surely a sign of a successful trip!!! We are looking
    into going on the Dreamward again.
