514.0. "premier cruises" by MUGGER::TAYLORJ () Wed Feb 08 1995 18:25

    Hi

We are looking for a three day cruise out of Port Canaveral on 5th May,
    1995.

We could only find Premier Cruises (from the UK) to fit our requirement.

We understand that this was the Disney boat but is now sponsored by
Warner Brothers (so you get Bugs Bunny rather than Mickey Mouse!).

    Three questions :

    1) Does anyone know any alternatives?
    2) Can anyone recommend Premier?
    3) Price! - we have been quoted 384.00 (about $576.00) for an adult
for the 3 days and 212.00 (about $318.00) from the UK. Is this
reasonable by US standards or should we wait and book in the US in the
    week prior to the cruise?

    Thanks

    Julian

    Hi

Warner Brothers (so you get Bugs Bunny rather than Mickey Mouse!).

    Three questions :

A number of ships offer 3 day/4day cruises from Miami. Not sure
what else goes from Port Canaveral. YOu did not specify anything
else about trip so it is not possible to guess what you are doing.
    2) Can anyone recommend Premier?
We went on it in 88 and it was fine, but it will probably have
lots of kids on board. So if you are a couple only then it may
        not be ideal.
Also in general a 3 day cruise is very short, really 2 days.
Get on in afternoon, have dinner and show that night, 2 full
days, after that but on last day you have to be up early and
        get off ship early.
    3) Price! - we have been quoted 384.00 (about $576.00) for an adult
for the 3 days and 212.00 (about $318.00) from the UK. Is this
reasonable by US standards or should we wait and book in the US in the
    week prior to the cruise?
Hard to say because price varies greatly on cabin location and
type. If rooms are available just before departure then expect
they will be cheap, but you must have alternate plans in case
    	room is not available.
    Thanks

    Julian
