I am trying to get some recent info on three cruise choices that My
wife and I have to make.
#1 The Zenith eastern Carribean
#2 The Norway (NCL) eastern carribean
#3 The Sov. of the Seas eastern carribean.
Leaving Sept 3rd. I have read all the approriate notes in here but I
am wondering if I can get comments from people who have experienced 2
or all 3 of these choices. All are within a $100 in price. Which will
pamper me the most, and give me the best cruise.

I've been on NCL Norway and RCCL Sovereign on Eastern Caribbean.
Overall reasonably similar with definite edge going to Sovereign.
Sovereign handles the large number of people better than Norway.
On Norway you have to be careful of the cheaper rooms, many have
verticle bunks.
For me I would have to save at least $500 for similar room to go
on Norway over Sovereign.
Norway had an almost no existent smoking policy when I went on it.
Good if you smoke, bad if you do not. But............It was my
first cruise, 1985, and the policy has probably changed a lot
since. So do not make any decision on this unless you have up to
date information, if this is important to you.
I have no direct knowledge of Zenith.

I recently cruised on RCCL's sister ship of Sovereign of the Seas (Monarch) and I had a WONDERFUL time (see note 485) the ship was awesome!!!! | |||||

Well we decided on the Zenith. According to Berlitz it's a 5 star and
with the pricing we got we just couldn't refuse. It looks like I will
finally get my first cruise.

RE 488.
Probably a bit late to reply to this note, but I've just found this
conference.
We did the Zenith Western Caribbean cruise in November '93 and had a
fantastic time. The ship was only launched in April '93 and is an impressive
vessel.
JP, you'll have a great time! Watch out for the food though. It taste's
great and there's lots of it!
