| I've been on smaller ships like Sun Viking and I never remembered
hearing any noise like that. It rough seas there may be a little more
motion up forward.
There is one thing you might hear if forward and it could be loud.
When they raise and lower the anchor it can be noisey but no big
deal. Sometimes you come into port early, if you were still sleeping
it might waken you.
It is very possible that an aft cabin would fell more engine and
propeller vibrations. Since you are not on lowest passenger deck
I do not think it will be a big deal either way. I would guess
the aft would be a little quieter maybe.
Other things that might be more important is how busy the location.
If one was on a busy isle or near a staircase etc. that could
be important.
I remember reading some other notes about ship location, I think
they had more to do with motion however, cannot remember. You
might see if you can find any.
Actually some people like myself would like the sound of the bow
going through the waves. It would put me to sleep. Of couse some
people like my wife fall to sleep quickly listening to TV or
radio talk shows and those drive me crazy.

| I've been on two cruises and both times the cabins were mid-ship. On
the Carnival cruise I took, I did notice that when I was in the aft
portion of the ship, I noticed the movement a lot more than when I was
near the bow.... especially on the dance floor. It was as if there was
a side to side motion in addition to the up/down motion in the rear....
hope that makes sense!!!!!
