My fiance' and I booked our Carnival cruise last month....We were quoted a price of $999.00 per person (category 1) ( I know, they are bunk beds). The travel agent told us to call around...if we could find it cheaper they would match it or beat it.... So I made some call and found a place that was $80.00 per person cheaper. So the agent is charging us $919.00. Well this is great, but we went to pay off the cruise and notice they charged us $50.00 less on top of the $80.00 per person, so in other words we saved $210.00. Well there was a message on our answering machine from the agent, I'm sure it's because of the mistake. What I would like to know is do we pay them the $50.00, it was there mistake....I hate to fight about it with her...she was great...and so helpful. Pam

Just MHO, of course, but the travel agency negotiated in good faith with you, even cutting their commission to the bone to get your business. You made an agreement with them and I think you should honor it. Think how you would feel if you were the one who made the mistake! -jer |
