427.0. "Questions about Carnival ship" by WMOIS::TOBATTO_L () Mon Feb 22 1993 16:18
My husband and I are going on our first cruise next month. We're
going on a 4 day cruise aboard the Carnival lines, Carnival Ship.
Has anyone gone on this ship? I was told that it is not a new one
however, there have been lots of updates done to it.
I have a question around carrying money. I was wondering what
you do for carrying cash, or should you. Is it safe to leave it in the
room? Do they have like a mini safe or something you can put it in?
If not, is it best to bring travelers checks? And if so, can you use
them when shopping in the Bahama's. I really don't like the idea of
carrying it around with you all the time. What about when you go
swimming?
Also we have been upgraded to a category 6. I know this is the
upper deck, but does this also mean that it's an outside cabin?
Last question, do they have bathtubs in the rooms? Just curious.
Oh Yeah, what about asking for a better room once you get there?

| I went on the Jubilee and did the Sign and Sail. Talk to the Purser on
the ship and he will set you up....how it works is, they take a print
of your credit card and then all you have to do sign for everything you
want on board...from the gift shop to drinks. They make it very easy
for you to sign for anything you want!
I would suggest you bring travellers checks and cash whatever you need
when you need it....again you do that at the Pursers desk on the ship.
When I was in the Bahamas they accepted travellers checks and American
Cash.
I don't think level six has a tub....the suits do, I'm sure! If you
know your number then look in the brochure to see where your cabin is
located.....
