Hi,
I read in one of the notes of cruises going to the Western Caribbean
out of Tampa. Does anyone have any info on this. Like whate cruise
line. I think we'd like a 3 night 4 day one.
Thanks

Regency has cruises from Tampa. We're leaving Saturday for a week.
I don't know about shorter cruises. You might check with a travel
agent. The Regency ships are older, and not as glitzy as some of the
newer ones, but a good value.

Holland America also has a 7 day Western Caribbean cruise that leaves
out of Tampa. They have some great deals available this fall if you
book by Feb. 28. Try Colorado Discount Cruises for details

I believe Regency added another ship which runs 2 and 5 night cruises
from Tampa. As the previous note said Regency uses older ships. They
lease their ships from a Greek Shipping line I believe. Basically
they provide a very similar cruise to other lines but not at the
same level as RCCL, NCL etc. but still reasonable. Usually they
have such good deals they can be a real bargain. Many times a 7
day cruise with air for about the price of a 4 day cruise. Some deals
as low as $800/per person including air plus port charges. I been
on 2 Regency cruises and 6 others. The do maintain the ships well.
I enjoyed both of my Regency cruises, I do not suggest cruises
out of Jamaica however, the cruise itself is fine but the process
of going in and out of Jamaica is the pits compared to Miami or Tampa.
The crowd on Regency will probably be older, but there are enough
younger people to have fun.
