Have you noticed the latest tact in cruise advertising? Lately, I've seen some long (10 minutes?) TV commercials for cruise lines. I saw one for Carnival and then one for Celebrity (featuring the Meridian). These commercials discuss the ship, the food, the ports, etc. Maybe travel agents ought to carry video tapes of these ads in addition to all the brochures they give you. These long cruise commercials is something new, right? I don't remember seeing them before. I guess they decided Solarflex had hit on a good thing. John

Most travel agents, and certainly any who specialize in cruises, will have a stock of videos covering specific ships and cruising in general. Most of us lend them to clients because they are a great tool for selling the unsure or undecided client. They also give you a good feel for the cruise experience and the line you have chosen. -jer |
