My husband and I are taking our first cruise together on Carnival's Ecstasy to the Western Caribbean on February 16. Anyone else going? Do you have any suggestions as to what we should/shouldn't miss and/or any tips for first-timers that you'd like to share?? Thanks a bunch, 22_days_and_counting!!!

Pack your swimming stuff..there are some great places to go in the western carribean. If you got to Ocho Rio...don't pass up the falls. It is unbelieviable!! There are some great places to dive in Grand Caymen Islands...also the best place to shop in the western carribean!!! Have a great time! Ken Clifton WKO | |||||

If you go to Ocho Rios skip the plantation tour, definitely not worth it in my opinion. but do go to the falls and try some jerked pork or chicken. SPICY but good! ALso if you stop in Cozumel they have the Tulum Mayan Ruins which are nice but on the way back they stop at the most beautiful inlet bay. I can't remember the name of it but you can swim, snorkel or lay on the beach. We went on the rccl Song of America in june of 1989. Loved it! Jill |
