Most cruise-specialty travel agencies offer discount prices on nearly all
the cruise lines. You would do well to shop around, if you have the
patience and the time.
When I booked my cruise next April on Holland America's Westerdam, I
prioritized my requirements according to sail dates, itinerary, length
of cruise, pre- and post-cruise options, amenities available, cost per
day per person, and discount available. I secured all the available
catalogs I could find and compared. Then I called the discount cruise
specialists for availability and price. I found if you do some
haggling, it is possible to lower your final price. (Most companies
deal in percentage of discount.)
