My sister and her husband will be celebrating their 25th wedding
anniversary on a fly-float-rail trip to Alaska in a couple of weeks.
My other sister and I thought it might be nice if we could arrange
for "something special" while they're on the cruise ship. (I don't
know who they're cruising with, yet; my neice is on special assignment
to get me some information, like the travel agent's name!)
What sorts of "something special" can be arranged? I know nothing
about cruise ships and waht goes on there. Is being married to the
same person for 25 years considered "special enough" for dinner at
the Captain's table? (I guess I expect a lot of the cruisers will be
celebrating some special occasion...) Is dinner at the Captain's table
even "special" or is it a drag? (Maybe that depends on the Captain...)
Any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?
Thanks,
CQ

| 221.1 | TRAVEL AGENT'S CAN DO IT. | DNEAST::GALLANT_RAY | Wed Aug 01 1990 10:49 | 11 | |
We just got off our 25th cruise to the bahammas which was arranged by
our daughter who works for AAA. But on the first night she had a
bottle of champagne delivered to our table which really suprised us,and
on the second night (6) waiters brought a small cake to our table
singing happy anniversary to us...again a real suprise. Also when we
got to our room there was a nice tray of candy covered fruits from her
wishing us a happy anniversary. After the trip she told me that its
easy for agents to do this, and it also is a great suprise to the
people that are the recepients....So get the name of the agent and you
should be able to get all you need....by the way happy 25th to them
from someone who's had their's.......
