217.0. "info needed on Premier Cruise Line" by WJOUSM::KPERRY () Tue Jul 03 1990 11:34

My husband and I are currently trying to make arrangments to go
on a cruise in March. Since I have never been on a cruise, and I have
also never been to Walt Disney, I would like a vacation which would
    combine the two.

I am looking into the following package:

    Premier Cruise Line
    SHIP: Star Ship/Majestic

4 night cruise leaving on a Sunday at 4:30 pm, spending Monday
and Tuesday at the Abacos Out Island, Wednesday at sea, and
    returning Thursday morning.

The next 3 nights would be spent at a hotel at Walt Disney, this includes
a rental car, and a 3 day pass to Disney.

The cost for all of this, (excluding air-fare) is $990 per
    person.

I am interested in hearing opinions regarding the cruise line, this
specific ship, the Abacos Out Islands, and any other helpful hints.

Note: The hotel you stay at in Disney depends on what category of cabin you
choose, the price listed above was for a category 6 (out of 9
categories) which means the hotel would be Disney Village resort
    suites, Hotel Royal Plaza.

Its a super deal. The ships are great. I think you'll have a great
time. I haven't been to this particular out island (I think they just
started within the past year) but if its anything like the one we
stopped at, it will provide ample opportunities for fun in the sun
    and of course the water.

I've not been on a combo Disney/Cruise vacation myself so I'm just
going by what I've discussed with others. In your note you made
mention that "My husband and I" are planning this vacation. You did
not make mention of any children coming along. I understand that these
combo cruises are "children" heavy. That may, or may not be an
issue with you but for some cruising on a ship that's loaded with
    children is a concern.

I went on two Priemier Cruises with my family in the past 8 yrs both
times we had a good time. At Disney we were disappointed that MGM was
not included and we had to spend extra for it. But all in all you will
have a good time it's well worth the money.

Did you know that your Magic Kingdom Club card can get you 10% off the
cruise? Obtain the card in personnel. And check the Disney notesfile
(SENIOR::DISNEY) for more information on both Premier and Magic Kingdom
    Club discounts.
