146.0. "Windjammer Cruises out of ME, CT?" by BOOKIE::FARINA () Mon Aug 07 1989 13:29

I'd like some information on Windjammer cruises out of Maine or
Connecticut. I didn't find much of anything in here. I have the
Camden, Maine, Chamber of Commerce phone number, but that won't give
me all the information I want.

Are they fun? I know you can go for up to seven days. Is that
too long for a first timer? How much work are they (just want to
be prepared ;-))? Are they all "pitch-in" cruises? What extra
expenses might I encounter? Can *anyone* offer recommendations?

I plan to go on vacation at the end of August/beginning of September.
I am not going with a group, so I also need to know if this is
primarily a "couples" type of deal or if it's a good place to make
    new friends.

    I'd appreciate any advice!

    Susan

146.1Maine Windjammer cruises update wantedUSEM::CHERNACKRemember, w/o the H it's still BSWed May 30 1990 13:248
I am considering taking a Windjammer cruise during the coming summer
and have many of the same questions. I have gotten brochures from
    the Windjammer association.

Has anyone answers or additional information?

    Thanks.

I ended up putting the base note in the MAINE notes file, too. I got a
lot more information there. My trip report of my cruise on the Roseway
    is there, too!

In short, I loved it! It is different, and there are some things that
might not appeal to everyone. Send me mail if you want more
    information.

    Thanks.... will do.

After writing this note, I found the Maine notes file (DNEAST::MAINE)
and the note 323 discussion on Windjammers.
