We just signed up for our first cruise at the end of this month. The package deal was an offer through the DEC employee activity dept. The price was real attractive, but I'm wondering if we're getting a good deal or "getting what you paid for"? I do know that the ship is small (580 people). It stops at several ports including a port in Venezuela. The cruise line is Chandris and the boat is the S.S. Victoria. Any comments would be appreciated (good or bad).

Um, gee, since this is your 'first' cruise and you will have nothing to compare it with, I think you will enjoy it. However, I've had friends who sailed on this ship and you 'do get what you paid for'. It is certainly not a 'luxury' ship in the class of RCCL and other lines. But I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time and it will wet your appetite for cruising. Ro |
