    Now that DECWRL has been retired, where can we find GATEWAY.DOC??
    
    I only started working at SNO (Sydney, Australia) about 5 weeks ago,
    and one of the first problems I had to sort out was that our Internet
    mail wasn't getting out (insufficient resources on remote node -
    DECWRL). Thankfully, someone pointed me in the direction of this
    conference and I learned from here about the retirement of DECWRL and
    the existence of the RMC's.
    
    The only listing of regional RMC's I could find in this conference was
    pretty old, and it indicated that US2RMC was the node we should use.
    I've pointed everything at that (by defining system logical names for
    DECWRL). Am I doing the right thing, or is there now a closer RMC that
    we should be using?
    
    I've noticed several references here to GATEWAY.DOC. Since it is no
    longer possible to get it from DECWRL, is it now available somewhere
    else?

Note 1988 (generally 1988.last) holds the current list of RMC's. You should now be using US3RMC from area 59 - Australia. Maybe the keepers of GATEWAY.DOC should keep a note here in this notesfile with the most recent copy?? I have a copy from a year or two ago; but I think you'll find that this document hasn't kept up (and can't keep up) with all the changes constantly taking place.

	re: .0 > Now that DECWRL has been retired, where can we find GATEWAY.DOC?? You can get it via anonymous ftp from gateway.dec.com. It was last updated in 1994, but there's still a good bit of useful info there. As .1 says, this conference is the best place to find out what RMC to use. -Hal

	You can get GATEWAY.DOC using anonymous ftp to gatekeeper.pa.dec.com. Is is out of date and no effort is being made to keep it up to date. However, it does have some useful information. You can also look at URL: http://www.bb.dec.com/home.html for other related information.

	Andy, Hal and Wayne, Thank you for your friendly, prompt advice and assistance. We are now pointing at US3RMC, I have printed out a copy of GATEWAY.PS, and I now have a pointer to the IP-EASYNET Services Home Page.
