941.0. "WAN & Remote printing from DUNIX V3.2D" by BRADEC::PODOLINSKY (Peter Podolinsky - MCS Slovakia) Tue Apr 29 1997 11:30
Hi all,
our customer is useing remote printing from SAP R/3 over WAN.
The remote system is an AXIS print server (similar to HP JetDirect models)
All works fine as far as the WAN connection is up.
When the connection breaks and somebody submits a job to print, it stays in the lokal spool. Fine, how else.
Problem is that the job stays in the spool permanently even after the WAN connection was established.
The only way how we manage to start printing again is a restart of the queue by "lpc restart".
Is there any explenation for this behavior?
Many thanks,
Peter
