Does anyone know what is the best filter to use for a LA30? Didn't see an answer in any of the other notes. LInda Serkman

Which operating system? What type of printer is it? (is it a line printer? it's not supported on either digital unix or ultrix b y the looks of things so it'll be a matter of working out which supported printer is closest to it).

The la30n and la30w will be supported in a future release (v4.0d?). I haven't tried this but I think the la75of for the la30n and the la324of for the la30w would be a good match.

The la30n and la30w will be supported in a future release (v4.0d?). We old timers are amused that the name LA30 is making a comeback, since the LA30 was one of the FIRST dot matrix impact printers that ever existed, some 20 years ago. (Then there were the LA36 and LA120.) These NEW LA30s are really abbreviations for LA300 (wide and narrow). This curmudgeonly advice is brought to you as a warning that REAL "LA30" drivers (filters, sorry) may well exist on some Unix systems, and these shouldn't be taken as current versions for the LA300s that I think are really referred to in this topic. - tom] |
