I am trying to configure a 2501 with TCP/IP over x25. The remote router is connected to a different carrier for the x25 service. When configuring the x25 map for the IP address to the DTE of the remote router I have encounter an address problem. Remote IP Address 196.39.129.1 Remote DTE 031344152402800 The local carrier tell me that to initiate the inter carrier call I need to put a leading 1 on the DTE address. When I do the x25 map command i get and invalid DTE address because the address field is exceeded. x25 map IP 194.39.129.1 1031344152402800 invalid command x25 map IP 194.39.129.1 1031344152402800 ^ is there some way of telling the router interface that this is an inter-carrier call and to insert the leading 1. Thanks, Malcolm

Have you tried taking the trailing 00's as these are the default sub-address anyway e.g x25 map IP 194.39.129.1 10313441524028 also have you checked whether the other end requires this? regards Steve Gifkins [Posted by WWW Notes gateway] |
