497.0. "DECnet route filter thru specific nodes?" by MTHOOD::GREGORY (it's a dry rain...) Sun Feb 09 1997 21:37

In setting up some Cisco routers for the customer, while converting from the
ACC equipment, I have the following situtation:

It appears that the ACC routers have a DECnet route filter set up to allow
routing updates from ONE particular node (6.992), for connectivity to two
specific areas. The access list is PERMITTED to accept routes to AREA's 6 and
10 from Router 6.992, but is to DENY all other routes from that router.
Routes to/from all other area routers are accepted.

The question I have is, does Cisco (IOS V11.1) allow the construction of an
access list to perform this same functionality - to allow specific routing
updates from a one router, while allowing all other routing updates from other
area routers? It appears Cisco will allow filtering to specific area's and
nodes, but I could not determine that it is possible to to what I think the ACC
is oding.

And if this is attainable, what might this list look like? Thanks.
