My advice for playing Killington - TAKE A CART!! Especially if you are going to try to get in 2 rounds per day. We played here last Memorial Day weekend (when we could look up at the Outer Limits ski trail and watch people skiing!) and we foolishly walked. We did get a standing ovation when we finally dragged ourselves off the 18th green, but we were pooped! And we run 5 miles at lunch every day! You might also want to toss an extra dozen balls that you have no emotional attachment to into the bottom of your bag... Louise

Actually, that would be the Superstar trail - Outer Limits is on Bear Mtn, which you can't see from the golf course... But you're definately right about the place being hilly - yow! Steve
2083.3 | funny story (the 2 spots have been filled) | BABAGI::FRASCA | Tue May 14 1996 15:15 | 13
Actually we have been going up there for 11 or 12 years, our record is 53 holes. We usually go out and play skins after we play our scheduled 36. Funny story.. one year it rained for about a week before we got there and continued while we were there.You guessed it NO CARTS! When we told the bartender down at the grist mill that we walked 27 at killington he proceeded to yell "these guys just walked 27 holes at K". The bar errupted in applause (no free drinks though).. PS.. WE HAVE FILLED THE 2 OPEN SPOTS !! sorry.. Pat |
