! XPC 2000 ! Tour Model II ! >> Tour Model IV ! ! Playability, quality, etc.... I helped a friend assemble a set of these irons about a year and a half ago, and I have had the opp. to use them a couple of times when I was considering switching from blades to cavity backs. They are very solid and forgiving clubs, that get the ball up quick, with the mid-flex point dynamic gold shafts. The feel is of a very "head-heavy" club (as compared to my blades at the time) but in hitting them after I purchased my set of cavity backs (King Snakes) they seem very similar (just slightly heavier). All in all I liked the clubs very much, and they play well and wear very well. They have a slightly thicker topline that I personally wasn't comfortable with, but at address were easy to square up. Hi, I play the XPC2000 (PING ZING knockoffs) I've had absolutely no hardware problems or any wear related problems. I'm quite certain because I'm a poor golfer any ctiqiue of these clubs would be useless. But I like'm! Bill | |||||

As a club maker I have assembled 4 sets of XPC-2000's. 1 set came back to me to de-loft the clubs by 2 degs. The gentlemen that was using them felt he was not getting the distance he wanted even with a high kick point shaft. After de-lofting the clubs the guy said he was getting exceptional distance, accuracy and still getting the height he was looking for. The other sets I have out in the golf world seem to be doing just great. Everyone says they feel good and are a very forgiving club. John |
