2003.0. "Courses off rte 93" by HOTLNE::BRIAN () Wed Mar 29 1995 12:01

    I am looking for a course in the Manchester area that is good for
    novice/int players.

    Also, Is there a good course off Rte 93 (between Manchester & Boston)
    with the same charecteristics?

2003.1NETCAD::NISKALAThis IS the year for the Huskers!Thu Mar 30 1995 09:294
    	Deryfield CC comes to mind and it's right off 93. Well almost...
    Take the Bridge St exit off 93N, exit 8 I believe, go back under the
    highway and when you come up to the second? set of lights, take a left
    onto Mammoth Rd. The course is about mile down on the left.
2003.2couple of coursed down 93MROA::LLAMBERTFri Mar 31 1995 15:5910
    You may want to go down into MA exit 110-113 in Methuen. Bear right
    around the rotary and follow 113 towards Dracut. Hickory Hill CC.
    is in Methuen just up the road on your left. No a bad place and not
    to tough.

    A little further down 93, to route 133, ther is a par three at the
    Hotel there. It used to be call the Sheraton Rolling Green. It's
    an executive type of course.

    Good Luck
2003.3the "Heavy Hitters" PAR 3CVG::SMITHThu Jun 22 1995 12:038
       I'd suggest the "Heavy Hitters" 9 Hole PAR 3 at the Junction of
    Route 93 (Exit# 4) and Range Road in Windham, NH. note: They've
    also got a nice Driving range at the same locale and a Pro shop.

    						hit em' straight,

2003.4Maybe a little north for you, but...STRATA::GOODNOWMon Jul 22 1996 07:4516

       A little late but if anyone is interested.....
             I grew up in the Manchester/Concord area and have played a few
    courses in the area (beaver meadow/derryfield/and several others, all
    of which I never played twice). The best course in the area is
    Plausawa Valley C.C. on Rt. 3 in Pembroke (15 min north of manchester
    and about 10 minutes off exit 11 93 north). Fees are about 24/27...
    the front is a little open for my liking but the back is the best nine
    I've ever played... carved out of the woods with a river winding
    through. Slope ratings of 131/137 (front/back).... the back is narrow
    and challenging. I still play it about 10 times a year... the only
    course I'll shell out the cash for since I'm a member elsewhere. If I
    lived close enough I would definitely be a member there... but I settle
    for crumby Grandview. Plausawa is a beautiful course and sees alot
    less traffic than Beaver Meadow (concord) or Derryfield (manchester).
    Can't wait to lose another dozen on the back!
