| Geoff,
A Driver alone runs about $100-$120 US. The set (1,3,4,5) can be had for
around $250-$300 US.

You might try note 69.154 to see if the three ping woods are
still for sale. looks to be a good deal to me.

Hi ,
I thought I would share some very valuable information. In the
past I have received some great tips from this file.. and now feel
I should payback your kindness.
Buy a ping eye2 wood 5 wood. Metal shaft. Not sure if the zing is
OK , I happen to pick up a used eye2.
Buy a ping zing wood 3 wood. Metal shaft.
Buy a ping zing wood 1 wood. Metal shaft.
They are by far the easiest woods I've ever hit. The 5 wood
can hit it as far as my Bertha 3 wood. The 3 wood can nearly
match the Bertha driver.
But the distance is secondary to just how forgiving they really
are... It's as if the club only needs to be in the vicinity of
the ball for it to carry the ball somewhere near the intended
target.
I am truly amazed... even though I tried the taylor made burner
and Big Bertha family of metal woods.. there's isn't any
comparison.
Now.. maybe for me personally these clubs are the best... but
for you they may not be. I still feel you should give them
a test drive. Borrow one and see how you like it?
good luck!
