| 1. Palmer
2. Norman
For the same reasons as .0
3. Travino - great attitude and I think he would go all out to help
improve my game. And fun, the chemistry between the three would be
interesting.

1799.2 | Seve's the main man | YELBUS::DSMITH | Gazza's my hero...NOT!!!!! | Tue Oct 26 1993 18:06 | 18 |
|
1. Seve! Although he's not been at his best for a couple of seasons,
his enthusiasm for the game and his amazing shot making never
ceases to amaze.
2. Tom Watson. I remember as a kid watching him and Nicklaus battling
it out for the British Open at Turnberry in '77 I think. Also saw
him pick up the trophy at my home town Troon in '83. A true
sportsman on and off the course.
3. Nick Faldo. He's been number 1 in the world for a few years now
and his record in the majors over the last 6 or 7 years is
brilliant. Maybe not much fun on the course but his record speaks
volumes for his game.
Danny.

Fuzzy, Chi-Chi, Trevino.
Why you ask? because it more than appears that three ENJOY the game
and still have FUN doing it. We are all starting to take the game
to serious. To me, walking down the fairway (or riding) with Fuzzy
whistling a tune, Trevino joking with his caddie and crowd and Chi-Chi
only because of his antics and shot making abilities.

1799.12 | Depends, laughs or memory | CHRLIE::HUSTON | | Wed Oct 27 1993 13:51 | 18 |

depends what I want out of it, for pure fun you couldn't beat:
Chi Chi, Trevino and Fuzzy
For a pure good memory that I would learn alot in:
Watson, Kite and Norman, possibly Freddie as well.
People I think you would be disapointed in: Nicklaus (this guy is
awesome, no mistaking it, but in all interviews I have seen he has
a 1-dimensional personality, golf. The guy owes his life to golf, but
there is more to life than golf, he is one of my all time favorites
to win any tournament though), Faldo, don't know, I just don't like
this guy.

and Hale Irwin... You could add Mike Hill so he and JC could duke it
out!

1799.14 | 3 more 3 balls | PEKING::ANTELLJ | | Thu Oct 28 1993 10:38 | 8 |
| Hows about this, Barter,Leguiox,Nick Roberts
a very interesting 3 ball.
For speed how about Johny Johnston, John Daly, Kevin Hatfeild
The worst 3 ball ever was, Lash, slash and Bash it was murder!

1799.15 | Just three too tough - Multi-foursomes | ABACUS::LEARY | COME ON PHILLY! | Thu Oct 28 1993 12:22 | 14 |
|
Fun set: Chi Chi, Fuzzy and Reves McBee - be sure to bring lots of golf
balls from laughing too hard!
Awe set: Faldo, Price and the Shark - make sure to bring a camcorder
"How'd he do that?!"
Long set: Daly, Davis cubed and Michelle McGann - I might out drive her
but I doubt it!
like Bob Seger once sang " Love to watch her putt!"
;^)
Hero set: Arnie, Jack and Floyd - Wow

1799.16 | He can play 'em all? | ATPS::MILLER | | Thu Oct 28 1993 12:47 | 11 |
|
How about just Peter Jacobson...He could play someone different
on every hole and based on his overall skills based win in the
recent SKILLS Tournament, I could ask him to play the shot in
the appropriate style.
But guess I would like to have Arnold Palmer for my value of the
tradition of the game and perhaps Ben Crenshaw for similar
reasoning.

1799.17 | Geiberger, Pavin and Rodriguez | PASTA::PARKER | | Thu Oct 28 1993 13:11 | 11 |
| 1. Al Geiberger. Highly respected by his peers, fundamentally sound in
every phase of the game. From him I'd like to learn.
2. Corey Pavin. Perhaps the best balance of competitiveness (with
respect) and skill in terms of ability to take more than a course wants
to give. The guy can find a way to beat either an opponent or a
course.
3. Chi Chi Rodriguez. One of the great entertainers and shot-makers of
all time. I'd particularly like Chi Chi helping me get out of the
trouble in which I'm often found.

1799.19 | Another group I'd love to play with. | KOALA::DEFELICE | | Thu Oct 28 1993 15:05 | 11 |
| Legends I'd LOVE to play with, but might not really enjoy their
company: Faldo, Langer, and Seve. Nick would probably get really
disgusted with my play and not talk to me. (Then again, he's probably
the friendliest guy in the world outside of a match...) Bernie would
definitely charge me a penalty stroke or two, somewhere, somehow...
(Of course, I'd get him back for slow play...) Seve would intimidate
me to heck - like I wouldn't be enough playing with these guys already.
But, would I love to glean something from Faldo's beautiful swing and
putting, Langer's iron play, and Seve in the bunkers and everywhere
else.
